We verify what other systems assume.
Sensor Biometrics was built to solve a blind spot in cybersecurity: the physical layer. In critical infrastructure and cyber-physical systems, most protections stop at the network edge.
We go deeper.
Our platform verifies the authenticity of connected devices using their unique RF-DNA signatures. No agents. No assumptions. Just measurable truth, verified through physical signal behavior, not metadata.
We serve teams that need more than a dashboard; they need confidence in what’s real, what’s trusted, and what’s already inside their infrastructure. We’re not interested in pretty dashboards or passive analytics. We’re interested in provable security.
Everything we build is designed to:
Detect signal-level anomalies in real time
Identify counterfeit, spoofed, or rogue devices
Strengthen trust in cyber-physical systems without disruption
Whether working with embedded controllers, COTS sensors, or mission-critical field devices, our goal is simple: make authenticity measurable and detection undeniable.
Sensor Biometrics is led by a team of proven operators, engineers, and security experts focused on turning technical depth into commercial impact.
Kirk Byles – CEO, Rapier Technology Group
Kirk Byles has spent nearly thirty years building, scaling, and transforming technology companies. He started his career driving channel growth at Comstor and Cisco during the early days of the Dotcom boom and went on to lead global channel sales for Proxim, Motorola, and other wireless innovators.
After helping two of the largest outdoor wireless OEMs grow market share, he joined a startup focused on commercializing a next-generation authentication algorithm within the U.S. intelligence community, an effort that led to a successful exit. From there, he stepped into senior leadership roles at two wireless OEMs, helping reposition both companies for acquisition and investment.
As CEO of FreeWave Technologies, Byles led a full-scale transformation, turning a legacy point-to-point narrowband wireless provider into a modern Edge Computing SaaS company built for large-scale industrial networks.
Today, as CEO of Rapier Technology Group and Sensor Biometrics, he’s focused on taking both companies from deep technical development to full-scale commercial success, building scalable go-to-market engines, and guiding their transition into high-growth, revenue-generating businesses.
James E. Pierce III, M.S. – Chief Design Officer, Rapier Technology Group
James Pierce brings over a decade of experience in advanced product design, secure systems integration, and high-performance engineering to his position as Chief Design Officer at Rapier Technology Group.
With a background in mechanical engineering and biomechanics, he leads the development of sensor-level authentication and anomaly detection technologies, ensuring every layer of protection is technically sound and operationally seamless.
His work spans secure hardware, medical device engineering, and systems built to perform under pressure. He holds multiple patents and has been published in peer-reviewed journals, but his focus remains practical: designing security solutions that are scalable, invisible, and built to integrate without disruption.
Jason Brown – COO, Rapier Technology Group
Jason Brown is a seasoned security strategist with over 25 years of experience in physical security, cybersecurity, anti-counterfeiting, logistics, and risk mitigation.
As COO of Rapier Technology Group, he leads the company’s mission to redefine data protection through covert, resilient communication technologies.
His career has centered on securing complex supply chains and protecting high-value assets across industries—from wholesale distribution to advanced authentication systems. With a proven track record in operational leadership and applied security innovation, Jason brings a straightforward, results-driven approach to tackling modern threats, building practical solutions that safeguard infrastructure and information.
Rapier Technology Group has been developing technologies for nearly a decade with a focus on securing the things you care about by enhancing product/data security, safety, and authentication for organizations and individuals alike. Ricochet is the first technology to launch commercially under RTG while Sensor BioMetrics, a sensing monitoring and management platform was recently spun out to support various opportunities within the Industrial Internet of Things and within the Department of Defense.
See how Sensor Biometrics can strengthen your infrastructure by verifying trust at the signal level, before assumptions become vulnerabilities.
